Birthday Party

Well, the girls finally had their birthday party a couple weeks ago (a mere 5 or 6 weeks after their actual birthdays...). This was a family party at Gramma and Papa's house.

Trip to Lowes

We went to Lowes to look at new water heaters (woo hoo) and buy some seeds for tomatoes and various greens. I've never planted veggies, but I want to learn. I hope it works! We then took the kids to Applebees for dinner since Mama was craving chicken fingers. :)

Beauty Queen

At Gramma and Papa's house, there's a drawer in the kitchen that has toys just for little kid visitors. The kids of course head there first (after greeting the grandparents). Eliana loves all the beads. She'll literally put them all on and then try to crawl around the house. I imagine they're quite heavy for a little peanut like her. She heads straight to Auntie's old room, which has a mirrored closet, to check herself out.

Easter Sunday

Gramma set up an easter egg hunt for the kids on Easter Sunday. The kids had fun looking around the house for eggs with their names on them, then looking through their loot.

Easter Teaser

As I looked through our Easter photos, I realized that we have a disproportionate amount of pictures of Miss Eliana. She's really such a fun kid and was apparently quite photogenic on Easter Sunday. Here are a couple of my favorites. More to come of everyone soon.

Complete Concentration

Thomas has an amazing attention span when it comes to Star Wars or legos. Matthew's mom has these pirate legos that Mark had put together as a kid. There were these huge pirate ships in the playroom until just recently when she took them down. Thomas noticed and asked for them. He'll take them out and play quietly and happily for hours on end with these things! It's pretty amazing for a 3 year-old boy, I think.

Easter Egg Decorating

We have a tradition of going over to Matthew's parents' house to decorate eggs each year. My mom usually joins us and this year Josh did too. Cecilia and Marissa were decorating one carton of eggs while Josh and Thomas worked on the other. Eliana was just loving having so many of her favorite people together in one house! (Matthew was having fun playing with his lensbaby--hence the funky photos.)

Babysitting

On Sunday, we babysat a friend's little girl. This is Thomas's future wife (see here for story) by the way. She's beautiful and very sweet, so of course we approve :) The kids had fun playing outside. Here are some pics from the day.

Is This Normal?

Is this what your kids do? Mind you, it's only in the 40's here... She's wearing her new bathing suit, a winter hat, slippers, and running around the house with a blaster.
