Playing at home

Cecilia was very serious showing Matthew her magic wand. She magically changed my eyes to green (which they already are) and changed me into mom and Matthew into dad... Thomas has this box of cars (mostly from the movie "Cars") that he plays with every day. He doesn't ever seem to get tired of them.

The kids got baskets at Gramma and Papa's too. You can see them playing with the loot. Grammy came up from Quincy for the weekend and was able to spend some time with Eliana.

Eliana's baptism

Eliana was baptised at Easter, which was beautiful. As you can see, they fully submerge the baby in a Melkite baptism. Eliana did wonderfully. Cecilia and Thomas also received chrismation and first communion, so it was a very exciting day. Brian and Rachel Kennedy are Eliana's godparents.

Here's our newest little sweetie. Look at that face. Isn't she cute? The second pic is of Cecilia and Thomas when they came to the hospital. They have a lot of fun together!

Eliana's first night went well: plenty of eating, sleeping, etc. The photos below were taken about an hour after her birth. More to come (both of those activities and of photos) this afternoon:

Eliana Clare

After a week of teasing us, Eliana decided to arrive at 4:11a on Sunday, March 9. Labor was quick (to the surprise of the staff) and pushing was limited to 10 minutes. Eliana broke the previous Lomanno baby records by weighing in at 8 lbs 2 ozs; her height is 20".

Mom and baby are doing well and recovering from a night of no sleep.

Technical difficulties are preventing me from uploading photos (I've been trying all day); I'll continue my attempts, so check here regularly for more posts while we're in the hospital and the first week at home.

Cecilia's 4th Birthday Party

We had the family over for Cecilia's 4th birthday party and she thoroughly enjoyed it. She was very surprised to get girl scout cookies and the look on her face was priceless. She got more dress ups, which she really wanted. She complains now when I want her to wear regular clothes. These are the first outfits on in the morning and she'll wear them all day (with a couple costume changes throughout, of course). One picture shows her on the phone talking with Grandpa Marc (who's in the background). The picture of Thomas shows him watching Cecilia open her presents. He was bringing them over to her.
