We had the family over for Cecilia's 4th birthday party and she thoroughly enjoyed it. She was very surprised to get girl scout cookies and the look on her face was priceless. She got more dress ups, which she really wanted. She complains now when I want her to wear regular clothes. These are the first outfits on in the morning and she'll wear them all day (with a couple costume changes throughout, of course). One picture shows her on the phone talking with Grandpa Marc (who's in the background). The picture of Thomas shows him watching Cecilia open her presents. He was bringing them over to her.
Cecilia had a wonderful time preparing Valentine's for her friends this year. We cut out some pretty paper and then she added foam heart and love bug stickers. You can see the results :)
We all went out for dinner to celebrate Grandpa Marc's birthday. We figured out the trick to get the kids to stay put through the whole meal (how long did it take us...?). We let them each bring a few of their figures. Cecilia brought some princesses and Thomas brought Star Wars guys. The kids loved the fish tank at this restaurant :)
Thomas got to have a date with me, and Memere took Cecilia out on a date. The really fun stuff was playing with Thomas the Tank Engine at Barnes & Noble and lunch with Grandpa. But, we just have pictures from mom's midwife appointment... He enjoyed that too, though.
Our annual Plante Christmas party (Gramma's mom's family) was postponed because of one of our wonderful December snow storms. We rescheduled for Little Christmas, which was appropriate. The kids loved helping everyone open up their Yankee Swap presents. The posed picture is of Gramma, Aunt Kathy, Memere, and Aunt Sandy. Apparently the most recent picture they could find of the sisters was from about 1970... so Matthew took a new one for them. Finally, the picture of Thomas.... I imagine he'll hate us for this one day, but just look at that face. (And, for the record, he requested to wear that flower.)
