Singing Party

We went to a singing party a couple weekends ago. The kids made friends quickly and we hardly saw them the whole night--except for Eliana, of course, who was right in the middle of all the action. Here are a few shots from that day.

Trip to the Doctor's

Here are some pictures from our recent trip to the doctor's to get our ultrasound (we haven't scanned the pictures yet). Most of them are from the waiting room. One is from the walk back home. We actually live close enough to walk (which is unusual around here).

A Dramatic Flair

I love that Cecilia is so enthusiastic about her movie soundtracks. Before putting on The Little Mermaid this morning, she ran upstairs to put on her Ariel dress. Then, as she's playing the music, she reenacts scenes from the movie--complete with the mermaid splashing up on the rock, arching back (picture her kneeling backwards on a chair, thrusting her body up as the waves dash upon her "rock"). She calls Thomas in for certain scenes--"Kiss the Girl", when they sit in the boat and almost kiss, or when Ariel pulls Eric to shore. Lots of fun to watch :)

Our Own Language

Yesterday, we were playing with some friends out in their yard. They have a fence in the back, where you could see the neighbor's backyard. Their dog was out in the yard, hanging out and watching our kids. He seemed nice and wasn't making much noise. Thomas came up to me and declared, "He's pretty unbarkative, huh?" I thought that was a pretty creative use of language! :)

Blast from the Past

Here's a little blast from the past. It's been over three years since I've been back to TX to visit (Matthew's been back for conferences and school meetings). We now have a trip planned and we'll be heading down in about 2 weeks. I was thinking about our last trip and how old the kids were then, so I pulled up some pictures to share. Cecilia had just turned 2 and Thomas was about 8 months old. I can see bits of Eliana in both the kids.
