Kiss the Girl

I just walked downstairs to find Cecilia on one chair, Thomas on another. The two chairs were touching. And they were leaning towards each other... suspended just moments from a kiss. Then I listened to the song... "Kiss the Girl" from The Little Mermaid. They were reenacting the scene :)

First Taste...

Eliana's first taste of ice cream (and chocolate too, I think).

Tomie dePaola

We went to Barnes and Noble last weekend to see Tomie dePaola. He's a very fun, jovial guy. We enjoyed his laughter and sharing his stories. He's one of my very favorite children's authors. We waited after to have Mr. dePaola sign a couple of our books. While the kids were in line waiting, Eliana was roaming around Barnes and Noble.

Weekend in Belmont

We enjoyed Matthew's birthday up in Belmont, as usual. The kids had some temperate weather, so they were able to play outside in the snow. Eliana, of course, stayed in with us.

I Think I'm in Trouble...

Thomas: Is your princess naked?
Cecilia: Yes.
Thomas: Do you want your princess to be naked?
Cecilia: Yes.
Thomas: I like when the princesses are naked.
Me: Thomas, why do you like it when the princesses are naked?
Thomas: I like bums.

My Little Magician

scene: living room
cast: Cecilia, dressed as a ballerina with one elastic, two barrets, and a crown in her hair (she was very specific about this). She's also wearing one blue ballet slipper and one pink because she couldn't find matching ones...

Cecilia: Come watch the magic show!
Me: Ok
Cecilia: Ok, you hold the blanket. Here is my magic bird. (Note: she's holding a stuffed lamb.)
Me: A bird?
Cecilia: Yes, it's a bird dressed up like a lamb.
Me: Oh, I see... :)
